There are things to do indoors and outdoors with festivals and concerts through the year. Part of Concord's landscape includes The Chronicle Pavilion, Willows Theatre, concerts and festivals at Todos Santos Plaza, Brenden Theatre, Gallery Concord, Pixieland Amusement Park and Waterworld USA.

Concord has three major retail areas conveniently located within miles of one another. Sunvalley Shopping Center, The Willows and Park & Shop Center feature large anchor stores like Macy's, Sears, JC Penney, Ross, Burlington Coat Factory, Cost Plus, REI, Old Navy, CompUSA and OfficeMax. Hundreds of other retailers and restaurants make the three shopping centers a magnet for
local and regional shoppers. Downtown Concord, near Todos Santos Plaza, offers an exciting mix of retail and eating establishments.

Large retailers and department stores such as Office Depot, YardBirds, Home Depot, TJ Maxx, Expo Design Center, Costco and McCaulou's call Concord home.

Over a dozen auto dealerships represent more than 25 automakers. Concord's major auto center is located along Market Street and down Concord Ave. to the Diamond Blvd. area.

Twelve of Concord's 13 public playgrounds have been renovated since 1994 with state-of-the-art playground equipment. In October 2000, all playgrounds were inspected to ensure compliance with the latest safety standards and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) so that children of all ages and abilities will be able to enjoy the experience.
